Our Facility
Library Study Spaces
Located on the second floor of 8 Fenway, the Albert Alphin Library features a warm and welcoming environment with windows overlooking Boston and the Fenway. A quiet room is featured with individualized study carrels and shelves for your studying needs. The library also provides tables, charging stations and eight computers for patron use.
Scanners and Printers
For all your document needs, the Albert Alphin Library has two black-and-white printers, two professional-grade scanners, and a paper cutter. Scan the piece you need into a PDF for class, print your score on 8 ½” x 11” or 11” x 17” paper, and cut paper down to size using our paper cutter.
Our Service
General Circulation
Books, sheet music, DVDs, CDs can be borrowed from the library throughout the semester. For more information, visit our policies and standards. Anything not located on our shelves can be found at another library through Interlibrary Loan.
Course Reserves
The Library supports class instruction with physical reserves and online resources. The physical books and scores are located at our circulation desk for check out to ensure access for all of the students in the class. The Library also provides access to eBooks, streaming audio and video resources, as well as specialized content, such as video tutorials and course guides.
Research Help and Library Instruction
A team of librarians support the Berklee community through teaching, consultation, and outreach. We offer reference and instruction services in person, by appointment, and via Zoom or Google Hangouts. Our services include one-on-one research support, leading and designing instructional sessions, and creating online tools that support research and learning.
