Berklee Events Online (BEO):

Virtual Visiting Artist Series

Performers, engineers, and music business professionals are among the industry experts who visit Berklee to offer clinics and master classes about the business and art of making, recording, promoting, and composing music. Often only open to the college community, these visits are opportunities for Berklee students and faculty to get an intimate and inside perspective of the industry.

This series of recordings is presented as part of the Berklee Archives' collection of Berklee Event Recordings. Please also check out other recordings made via our Berklee Events Online series.

Visiting Artist Series: Mickey Guyton and Karen Kosowski

Recently Mickey Guyton made history as the first Black woman to perform an original song at the Academy of Country Music Awards. Karen Kosowski has produced the majority of Guyton’s new EP, Bridges (Capitol Records Nashville). “What Are You Gonna Tell Her?” is one of three tracks from the EP that Kosowski also cowrote, and it has received critical national media praise following Guyton’s stunning live performances first at the Country Radio Seminar 2020 (during which Kosowski accompanied her on piano) and then at the internationally televised 2020 Academy of Country Music Awards (during which Keith Urban accompanied her on piano).
