Creative Mixing with Guitar Pedals
As powerful and flexible as plugins have become, it’s still a fun and worthy effort for many engineers to mix with outboard equipment. Although studio equipment can be an expensive investment, excellent results can be had with readily available gear such as guitar pedals and inexpensive live sound rack units. Many digital guitar pedals now have processing power that would have been impossible to achieve in the 70s and 80s, making studio-quality reverbs and delays readily accessible.
