You may have heard the DAW being referred to as the “industry standard,” which is definitely true, especially if you are working in professional recording studios. Pro Tools is amazing at integrating with mixing boards and similar studio technologies, but it was also one of the first digital audio workstations to be widely used for recording digitally.

Capture Recording: Logic's BEST KEPT SECRET!

Many people have no clue that this feature exists. It changes the game for workflow and midi sequencing. It is… capture recording. Capture recording takes literally a second to set up; simply right click anywhere on Logic’s control bar at the top of the screen and check the box next to capture recording.

MIDI Note Automation in Logic Pro

Automating MIDI parameters such as Pitch Bend and Velocity are super important, especially when you want to get specific sounds and really go deeply into specific aspects of your project. Automation means controlling a parameter over time, giving a user more control over their sounds and tracks. This post will focus on automating specific MIDI protocols for a specific MIDI note, but this works for a length of multiple notes as well!
