Music and the People of God: book signing & performance

Join the Stan Getz Library for a book signing with Professor, Pianist and Author Jetro da Silva. Also on the program for the evening is a performance featuring Jetro da Silva on piano, Ron Mahdi on bass and Ron Savage on Drums.
"This project is based on my personal journey as both a sacred and secular musician. By sacred, I refer to my work in religious music as a choir director, pianist, or organist in several denominations, By secular, I refer to my Journey as a solo artist, sideman for American music superstars, and music educator."
Jetro da Silva is an educator, musician, researcher, and an ordained minister. As a professional musician, he has performed with Whitney Houston, Gladys Knight, Brandy, Emilio Santiago, Namie Amuro, and many more. Da Silva earned his Bachelor in Music from the prestigious Berklee College of Music, a Masters of Arts and a Doctoral Degree from Andover Newton Theological School. As an educator, Da Silva served the Prestigious Berklee College of Music as an Administrator and Faculty for nearly fourteen years.
