Interview with Richard Gould, Alumni, Composer, & Sound Designer

Alumni Richard Gould discussed his experiences working in the film & game industry. Richard also shared the top five things he wished he knew before leaving Berklee and conduct an interview led by Oscar Coen of the SDN.
Originally from the UK, Richard ('14 - FS/EPD) came to the States to study at Berklee. Whilst at the college he co-founded the Sound Design Network, Hexany Audio, was Station Manager of the BIRN, a Peer Advisor and a Student Ambassador.
He currently works as a freelance composer/sound designer and as part of the sound editorial team for Skywalker Sound where he has worked on several feature films including "Home", "Crimson Peak", "The Walk", "The Peanuts Movie", "The Revenant" "Star Wars Rebels”, “Allegiant”, “The Great Wall” and "Secret Life of Pets". As a freelancer, Richard has worked on numerous projects including work for DreamWorks, Cartoon Network, AMC, Coke, The Tap Lab, MiT, Harmen, Northern Light Productions and Windy Films.
Richard also volunteers his time as an editor for DesigningSound.org, a website focused on the art and technique of sound design.
