The Music and Culture of Bollywood and Beyond III

What do you think of when you hear the word Bollywood? High energy choreography and eye catching sets and costumes? Hindi love songs and epically long films? Or maybe the only Indian film you can think of is Slumdog Millionaire?
The Indian film industry produces more movies and sells more tickets than any other movie industry, with revenues second only to those of the U.S. film industry, and its distinctive musical sounds have been popping up in American popular music and around the globe.

Join us for a continued discussion and analysis of classic and modern Indian films, lead by faculty members Rekha Menon and Kai Turnbull.
