Successful monolgue preparation for actors of all types

This two-hour workshop offers practical tools for preparing audition monologues for actors.
Berklee College of Music and Boston Conservatory students are encouraged to attend. Pre-selected students will prepare and present a memorized two to three minute contemporary dramatic or comedic monologue. Participants will receive feedback from Associate Professor Ana Guigui and Assistant Professor Rene Pfister regarding the audition process, and how to select the best monologue. Our guest moderator Susan Nelson is the Executive Director of the New England Local of SAG-AFTRA, and will be joined by local professional performers to discuss the topic of actors playing into a stereotype or acting against it. Ms. Nelson will moderate an open conversation and Q&A with our actors, panelists, and audience members about various aspects of diversity in show business. Please come and join the conversation!
