All Keyed Up: a melodica display

This free-reed keyboard instrument was first manufactured Hohner in Trossingen in 1958.  Now known generically by the name Melodica, it has been called for by composers such as Steve Reich (Melodica, 1966, with tape loop) and played by blues, jazz, reggae, indie folk, and other popular music performers.

This month we are highlighting albums that feature this modern musical marvel.  Then at the end of June, we'll be giving one away!

Find out how you can win your very own melodica on our contest page.
