How do I place a hold on an item? How can I check my holds?

To place a hold on an item:
- Sign in the “My Account” section of the library catalog.
- NOTE: make sure the "Library" search filter is set to Boston or Valencia campus, instead of the Main Library location within the campus. Then search for the item you want.
- In the item record click the “Place a Hold” link in the upper right corner.
- In the next page confirm that your email is correct, choose "main library" for your pick up location, and then click "submit".
The item is now on hold for you. You will receive an email when the item has been returned and available for you to pick up at the library circulation desk.
To check the status of your hold request, go to the “My Account” section of the library catalog.
