Abstract: Edwards explains her experiences establishing a music therapy program in the burn unit of the Royal Children's Hospital in Brisbane, Australia. The program included the participation of students from the connected University of Queensland. Techniques in aiding these areas are described, as are the importances of understanding and working with the child's cognitive development.
