DescriptionVDAY: Until the Violence Stops a documentary film screening presented by The Stan Getz Library, MASsiVe, the Office for Cultural Diversity and the Counseling and Advising Center VDAY: Until the Violence Stops features playwright and activist Eve Ensler in a powerful film that documents how the Vagina Monologues grew into an international grassroots movement to stop violence against women and girls called V-DAY. Until the Violence Stops shows women from Harlem to Ukiah, CA, from the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation to the Philippines and Kenya uniting and courageously revealing their intimate and deeply painful experiences with abuse ranging from rape to female circumcision. The Associated Press calls it "hopeful and inspiring!" Come see this powerful film, discuss it with the Office of Cultural Diversity and the Counseling and Advising Center, and learn some of the many ways you can engage with this important issue as a musician.
