[Student Club Contest]
Want to promote your club in a high traffic area of campus?
Announcing the Stan Getz Library Student Club Display contest!
Send us your design for a display that highlights the issues and topics relevant to your student club and you could win:
First prize: Your display, in library display case and website, for the month of October
Second prize: Your display, in library display case and website, for the month of January
Third prize: Your club highlighted on the Stan Getz Library Facebook page
How to enter:
All entries must be designed by Berklee students, with a contact name and two different types of preferred contact information, as well as all pertinent club information.
Designs should include a list of library items that highlight the issues and topics of interest to your particular club—which could include books, scores, method books, magazines, CD’s, DVD’s, and streaming audio or video. Designs may also include a prop that is not a library item and background colors or design.
Display designs can be submitted in electronic or physical format. Submissions are limited to one entry per club. Electronic files may be submitted, with all the requested information above, to firstname.lastname@example.org. Physical submissions may be submitted at the circulation desk of the library along with an application form.
* For guidance please refer to the previous display websites by clicking on the “News and Events” link on the library website and reviewing the sites in the “Displays” section.
* No designs will be returned to the applicant after submission.
* Any submission containing obscene or offensive words or imagery will be disqualified.
How to win:
All entries received by 5pm September 20, 2010 will be reviewed by a committee of Berklee faculty and staff. Winners will be selected according to the following criteria: highlighting various aspects of the library collection, creativity, and appeal of the design. Winning displays will not be selected based on the perceived value of the student club featured in the display.
Winners will be contacted by 9am September 24, 2010 and should be available for consultation during the construction of the display.
